How colleges are celebrating International Women’s Day 2017 | Campus Beat News for College Students

March 8th is International Women’s Day. Women around the globe are celebrated and recognized for their accomplishments and contributions. Several colleges took to social media today to honor outstanding women who have gone through their school and who are currently there. Some colleges even hosted special events to celebrate this day.

Princeton University even had a community gathering to celebrate this day and discuss achieving greater gender success.

Midwestern State University’s student government held a “Women in Politics” forum.

The University of Minnesota’s Office for Equity and Diversity launched a month-long spotlight series to feature different women of the university.

Texas A&M University held several events throughout the day to celebrate International Women’s Day. The university also has a few more events planned throughout the month of March for Women’s History Month.
