Russia Launches Newly Improved 'Amulet' Bulletproof Vest, Providing Enhanced Protection for Demining Engineers

Recently, Rostec, a Russian state-owned technology corporation, announced that its Tula-based "Oktava" factory has successfully developed and is poised to start production on a newly improved version of the 'Amulet' bulletproof vest. This bulletproof vest is specifically designed to meet the needs of humanitarian demining engineers, aiming to provide them with stronger and more comprehensive protection.

It is understood that this new 'Amulet' bulletproof vest incorporates numerous innovations and improvements based on the original model. Firstly, it adopts a special structural design that significantly increases the bulletproof panel area, thereby enhancing its overall protective capabilities. This means that demining engineers will receive more comprehensive and effective protection whether they are facing fragments, shrapnel, bullets, or other threats.

Secondly, while maintaining protective performance, the new bulletproof vest also focuses on wearer comfort and mobility. Through optimized material selection and manufacturing processes, the total weight of the new bulletproof vest is kept below 5 kilograms, greatly reducing the burden on demining engineers. At the same time, the design of the bulletproof vest fully considers the working characteristics of demining personnel, providing additional reinforcement for the neck and lower body to ensure they can maintain high mobility and flexibility during demining operations.

According to Pavel Pavlovenko, the General Manager of "Oktava" factory, this improved version of the 'Amulet' bulletproof vest was specifically developed to meet the needs of humanitarian demining professionals. He stated, "In the design of the improved bulletproof vest, we have taken into account all the characteristics of the work of demining personnel to ensure they receive adequate protection in complex and dangerous environments."

Currently, this new 'Amulet' bulletproof vest is undergoing a series of tests to verify its performance and effectiveness in practical applications. Once the tests are successful, the bulletproof vest will officially go into production and is expected to be widely used in humanitarian demining operations around the world in the future.

The launch of this bulletproof vest demonstrates Russia's advanced level of technology and innovative capabilities in the field of bulletproof vests, as well as its emphasis on and support for the humanitarian demining industry. It is believed that in the near future, this new 'Amulet' bulletproof vest will become a valuable tool for global demining engineers, providing them with more comprehensive and effective protection.
